Science Channel's 'CarBots' Series Wraps

New York, NY -- December 7, 2007 -- Marabella Productions wrapped production today on the 6-hour Science Channel series 'CarBots'. The Series Producer is Mark Marabella.  JFS Films' Producer/Director John F. Schwally was Line Producer and one of 4 Field Directors for the ambitious project. 

CarBots follows 10 teams from around the United States competing in the DARPA Urban Challenge.  The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) contest pits the 'best and brightest' in advanced robotics against one another to create the smartest, fastest, and safest autonomous vehicle in the world.  Each 'Bot' must complete a grueling 3 days of preliminary individual road tests followed by a day-long, 60-mile urban course against up to a dozen finalists.  The winner takes a $2 million prize and bragging rights as Top Bot.
