Muslims receives 2002 CINE Golden Eagle AwardNew York, NY -- April 30, 2003 -- The Independent Production Fund, Inc. (IPF) announced today that it has won a 2002 CINE Golden Eagle Award for excellence in television for the program Muslims, produced for PBS and broadcast as part of the venerable Frontline series. JFS Films' John Schwally was also recognized by CINE as outstanding Production Manager for the Muslims program. IPF brought on Mr. Schwally to manage production logistics and for editorial input to the program's content. JFS Films, LLC, is an independent television production company established by veteran PBS Producer and Production Manager John Schwally to create quality television programming for broadcast and cable distribution nationwide and internationally. Currently in production is the documentary Across the Sahara that chronicles the little known story of Pan American Airways -Africa, Ltd. and its contributions to the Allied war effort in World War II, and Seaplane Safari, a pilot program for a weekly travel-adventure series to be produced starting in late 2003. # # #
